We try to conserve raptors by rehabilitating injured or sick birds and releasing them back to the wild. Those that cannot be released become ambassadors for their species and help us to teach people about the beauty of these magnificent creatures.
Daktari is a non profit wildlife orphange where teams provide the nursing for orphaned wildlife. Teams consist of one person with disabilities and one without. Extra funds are used to sponsor underpriviledged people to have the same opportunity.
FreeMe is a Rehabilitation Centre for indigenous wildlife based in the north of Johannesburg. It was founded in 1997 by a group of trained rehabilitators who realised that there was not enough organised care available for suburban indigenous wildlife.
SanWild is a rehabilitation and emergency rescue centre specialising in wild animals. The reserve is also used as a release site for wild animals from other rehabilitation centres. All animals rescued, treated or hand raised at SanWild are released into the sanctuary and may never be sold, traded or hunted.
